Vision Boards
Inspire, Motivate, & Clarify
Join us at Studio B’s bright, inspiring space
Start off the new year with a vision board! A fun way to set goals and express yourself, vision boards are a representation of your dreams, goals, and overall vibe.
We will take time to gather inspiring images and then use them to create our own beautiful collages!
Spend a few minutes thinking about dreams and wishes. What kinds of things do you want to accomplish? Have you always wanted to travel? Learn to knit or learn a language? Read more? Organize, cook, run a marathon? What do you find inspiring? It can be as simple as a beautiful sunset or flowers. Color, texture, shapes—all of these things can form a picture when you put them together. Your vision board can clarify and motivate you to do big things or small and they are fun to reflect on.
Examples and materials will be provided. Sign up with a friend or come and make new ones! My classes are designed to bring people together to create. Perfect for beginners on up—there is no wrong way to do a vision board!

Have you ever noticed how much paper we use and toss every day? There are so many different kinds of paper that we come across and discard. In this class, we will collect and put to use scraps of paper from everyday life. We will use our paper to make patterned paper, to doodle, and to play. Junk journal style, we will collect and gather our bits and pieces and create assemblages.
Junk journals are an informal and fun way to get started and get creative. They can be a scrapbook of sorts, holding ticket stubs, stickers, and little bits and bobs that hold meaning. They can be a place to assemble and hold little drawings, to practice doodles, or to mess about with paint. Junk journals are no pressure—because they are not meant to hang on a wall or to be displayed. They are just a non-threatening place to work in when you just have a little bit of time or you just want to test out new paint colors.
All materials will be provided—I have a huge stash of salvaged paper—gift wrap, magazines, flyers, tissue paper, brown bags…as well as sketching pencils, colored pencils, and paint for us to explore.
You will have multiple options for your actual journal:
Bring one from home, either purchased or made from a salvaged book
I will have a variety of blank books ranging from simple and plain to vintage to a bit more for purchase onsite. Prices between $5-25.
This class is only two hours, but hopefully it can inspire you to start an art journal that you will continue to fill with your own treasures!
